🤍 Paper making :D

I tried again on May 2nd. This time I mixed A3 posters *2 and the grass together, and made 4 pieces of paper.

I definitely need to find a better way to dry the filter before transferring the grass paper onto another fabric. I was using tissues, but it wasn’t really good for the environment.

The texture of the fabric really matters. I don’t know why the other side of this fabric didn’t really work.

⁉️ Why Making Plant-based Paper?

• We used (well, I …) so many paper towels when growing the plants, I feel bad wasting them
• The bugs are colonizing our plants!! But I really don’t want to kill them, so I guess giving the plants a regular trim is the best solution. I don’t want to throw the leaves away. And I came across this cool video, so here we go!

Potential ways of using the paper:

• to show our project description
• as a part of the clothes - eg: earring ?

It is really crispy ?? and fragile

• future improvements:
  • soak the unwanted wheatgrass seeds into water overnight, so that it’s easier to blend them with the leaves. and in this way, the pulp will become more sticky
  • i really don’t want to use the okra juice. but maybe i should try with chia seeds as well??
